This has been both a fun and frustrating journey. I have learned alot of new things and have enjoyed seeing what's out there. I really enjoyed the YouTube, though I was already a fan of that. I liked the LibraryThing, Flickr, image generators and Zohowriter.
I really want to say a big thank you to Stephanie. She has been very helpful but most of all patient with me during this learning process.
I think that if another such class was offered I would sign up. It is always good to expand your mind and learn something new.

# 22
I like this feature. I found several titles that I would be interested in downloading. I may even download a book to listen to on vacation when my family starts to drive me crazy. Gee maybe I should do more than one!!!

21 and 2 more to go!!!!
This one was a little overwhelming for me. But I can see where it would be good for libraries. I found some podcast that had excert readings of different books. I can see someone searching that, finding something of interest and then looking for it at the library. I chose "Story of the Day" because it offers a variety of different real life stories. Ones where we can laugh, cry and be in awe of.

YouTube is great!
I picked this on because cats are so entertaining and cute. My absolute favorite pet ever.

Nineteen down four to go...
This exercise was okay. I did find a couple of things of interest and I can see some use for it in the library system. I'm not sure if it is something that I personally would use again.
There was a couple of interesting sites in travel, collabrative writing and word processing and organazation.

Learning 2.0 Wiki Sandbox
This was kind of a neat site. I add my blog and I also commented on my favorite animal cats.
I know I have a picture of our dog but it's my cats that are my favorites. I also commented on vacation site. Deep Creek Maryland and the Outerbanks.
I looked at some of the other favorites and it was interesting to see other peoples interests.

Sixteen
This one was really interesting and I found some sites that I will be going back to on my own time. I really liked the SJCPL subject guide, the Library Sucess and Bull Run Public Library Wiki.
On the SJCPL I found things that interest me outside of the library and will most likely use this site again. Once you click on a subject it reminds me alot of the "Library thing".
On the Library Sucess site I found out about things that I had been looking for in the past but was unable to find.
I had seen links for Wikipedia before but had never really looked into them. I think that after this exercise I will play closer attention.

Fifteen
I can see where the libraries are heading into the Library 2.0. I think that it helps to make the library more interesting and inviting for the "new" and next generation of patrons. We are definitely a Tech world...

Fourteen
After looking around on the Technorati site I could see where it would be useful to someone who is on the Internet alot. Unfortunately or fortunately that's not me. But it is helpful to know that something like that is available in the future.

"unlucky" 13
Okay, I did number 13 but I'm still confused about it. Not sure whether it is something that I would continue to use or not. Maybe I'm not smart enough to get this one. Some of the other sites were more to my capability, but I am trying to stay open minded and learn new things.

This one is a little confusing for me. I'm not sure how much I would really use this. But it is interesting to learn about things that are available on the internet. So far I have learned about a lot of neat sites that I didn't know were out there.

I really enjoyed #11. I think that I will continue to use this site even after this is over.

I'm still a little confused but I seem to do okay with Bloglines search tools.
Maybe one day I'll get it.

Thing 8
Well I tried Thing 8. I've set up my account with Bloglines but when I try to subscribe to things like the Washington News Post it won't let me.
So I may have some trouble with Thing 9. Anyone have any helpful hints????

Thing 7
So we're suppose to write about technology.... how about how technology challenged I am...
I did like the previous exercise and found alot of really neat things that I didn't know exsisted.
I think that some day I may try working on a blog at home and see what kind of things I can come up with. For the most part technology is pretty neat but very scary.....
